Epic Gallery drop-folder ingestion
Epic’s document management component — Epic Gallery — ingests documents from a monitored Windows drop folder. The Cloud Fax Toolkit sweeps inbound faxes into that directory with a companion metadata file (or metadata encoded in the file name), mapping MRN, accession number, and document type so each document links to the correct patient and encounter. It’s a native CFT capability that mirrors the OnBase-to-Epic process we already run — and we build custom-mapped metadata files to match your Epic configuration.

The Cloud Fax Toolkit parses FCL (Fax Control Language) jobs produced by Epic workflows — reading the destination number, cover-sheet mapping, and custom fields — and submits each job through the WestFax network. Custom post-processing generates NT1 result files that write delivery status back into Epic, so senders get confirmation without leaving their workflow.
